Onedotzero invites Animate projects to present ignition, a screening and panel event to mark the launch of their new online space, engine – a site for debate and discussion across a broad range of moving image practice www.apengine.org
the panel includes show-and-tell sessions from animate project filmmakers gaëlle denis (city paradise, fish never sleep), quayola (rome, natures with sound by mira calix) and tal rosner (without you, in seven days), and is chaired by chris o’reilly, co-founder of acclaimed london-based animation company, nexus productions. the speakers will be showcasing their commercial work alongside their independent film projects, and discussing the often tricky relationship between the two

Graham Coxon rescores City Paradise
Gaëlle’s film City Paradise was screened as part of Future Shorts event held in collaboration with Music Matters. Blur’s Graham Coxon took to the stage to present a live reinterpretation of the audio tracks on a series of six films in front of a packed crowd.
After working in 2009 in Shanghaï, Prague, Berlin, Taïwan, Paris, Japan, New York and Jersey, Gaëlle is back home… finally!
